  Jasmine Darke

Since last working for Bruce James Productions in HOUSE GUEST playing ‘JaneMercer’ last spring, Jasmine has played ‘Terry’ in HOW THE OTHER HALF LOVES; ‘Helen’ in A TOUCH OF DANGER; ‘Mrs. Bradman’in BLITHE SPIRIT and ‘Suzy’ in INSIDE JOB – all in repertoire at the Devonshire Park, Eastbourne and the Ashcroft, Croydon.

She then moved on to play ‘Irene’ in a spoof of the film Casablanca called IN ALL THE BARS, in which she played the Ingrid Bergman role, for BBC’s mini masterpieces.
Pantomime was then fun, being evil as ‘Witch Blackweed’ in JACK AND THE BEANSTALK at the Kings Theatre, Southsea.
Jasmine loves a variety of roles and has not played a nun for many years. Two notable experiences were 'MotherPeter’ in ONCE A CATHOLIC at the Sherman, Cardiff and the other doubling ‘PhilippeTrincant’ with ‘Sister Clare’ in THE DEVILS at the Wolsey, Ipswich.

Jasmine has many favourite roles – ‘Amanda’ in PRIVATE LIVES [Wolverhampton Grand]; ‘Jan’ in BEDROOM FARCE [Middlesbrough Theatre]; ‘Wife of Bath’ in a National Tour of CANTERBURY TALES; ‘Sheila’ in DIAL M FOR MURDER [Lyceum, Crewe]; ‘Bernarda’ in THE HOUSE OF BERNARDA ALBA [Swan Productions]; ‘Olivia’ in TWELFTH NIGHT [National Tour] and many more.
Panto is a favourite too, and has played most female types e.g. Principal Girl – ‘MaidMarian’ in RED RIDING HOOD [Theatre Royal, Bury St. Edmunds]; Principal Boy – ‘Dandini’ in CINDERELLA [Pomegranate, Chesterfield[; Fairy – ‘Bowbells’ DICK WHITTINGTON [Wyvern, Swindon]; Baddie – ‘Carabosse’ in SLEEPING BEAUTY [Colwyn Bay].

Jasmine lives in Bristol, loves cows and is currently writing material for Channel 4.
