Profiles - Claire Lousie-Connolly
Clare was born in Urmston, Manchester and began her training
at just three years old with the Jean Geddes School of Dance.
Most recently Clare played ‘Vicky Cammish’ in
the current series of HEARTBEAT for
Yorkshire Television on ITV.
Prior to that she played ‘Alice’ in the West-End
production of SEVEN
BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS (Theatre
Royal, Haymarket), ‘Silly Girl’
in Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (National
Tour) and ‘Wendy’ in PETER
PAN with Brian Blessed (Orchard Theatre). Prior to that
Clare made her West End debut in SNOOPY! THE MUSICAL (New
Players Theatre) where she played
the role of ‘Sally Brown’.
Other television includes CORONATION STREET (Granada), CLOCKING
OFF
and LINDA GREEN (BBC).
Her extensive radio work includes lead roles in SAPPHIRE AND STEEL with
David Warner and Susannah Harker for BBC7 and DOCTOR WHO (Big Finish Productions).
Whilst training, Clare was awarded Scholarships in Ballet,
Tap and
Modern/Jazz by the Stage Dance Council International
and The National
Association of Teachers of Dance and in
2001 was placed 1st runner-up in
the Grand Final of “Miss Dance UK”.
