Profiles - Geoffrey Davies
Geoffrey’s first job after leaving RADA was the film OH
WHAT A LOVELY WAR, and other films include THE
GAP, TALES FROM THE CRYPT and DOCTOR IN TROUBLE.
Geoffrey is best known for creating the role of ‘Dick
Stuart-Clark’ in the hugely successful TV series DOCTOR
IN THE HOUSE, which was followed by DOCTOR AT LARGE;
DOCTOR IN CHARGE; DOCTOR AT SEA and DOCTOR ON THE
GO. He has toured Australia twice and such was the success
of the tours that Geoffrey filmed the series DOCTOR DOWN
UNDER, which topped the ratings.
Many theatre appearances followed including: GHOST TRAIN,
OUTSIDE EDGE, THE HAPPY APPLE, MURDER IN MIND, RUN FOR
YOUR WIFE, SEASONS GREATINGS, AND THEN THERE WERE NONE, and BLITHE
SPRIT. Geoffrey has toured the Far East five times
and also appeared in Canada in DOCTOR IN LOVE.
A popular favourite for pantomime, Geoffrey has appeared
in everything from WIZARD OF OZ to DICK WHITTINGTON and
loves touring Great Britain appearing in thrillers and comedies
alike.
Most recently Geoffrey has appeared on tour in MURDER
IS ANNOUNCED, BEDSIDE MANNERS, MURDERED TO DEATH, IT RUNS
IN THE FAMILY, TRAP FOR A LONELY MAN, FINAL JUDGEMENT, and THE
GENTLE HOOK.
His many television appearances include two series of THE
LABOURS OF ERICA opposite Brenda Blethyn, BERGERAC,
THE BRETTS, FAMILIES, LAW AND DISORDER and EASTENDERS playing ‘The
Judge’ in Little Mo’s murder trial. |
