Profiles - Tom Carradine
Tom was born in Coventry and graduated from Imperial College
London in 2004 with a degree in Biochemistry. He currently
works as a freelance musical director, keyboard player and
vocal coach.
His musical direction credits include OKLAHOMA! (Grimsby
Auditorium), MOTHER GOOSE (Pomegranate Theatre,
Chesterfield), THE TREASON SHOW (Komedia, Brighton), SPRING
FEVER (King’s Head Theatre, London), IOLANTHE and THE
MIKADO (Riverhead, Louth), DICK WHITTINGTON (Royal
Victoria Hall, Southborough), NEWSREVUE (Canal Café,
London) and a studio cast recording of the rock musical AREA
51, as well as student productions of LITTLE SHOP
OF HORRORS, GREASE, PERSONALS, SOMETHING’S
AFOOT and A SWELL PARTY.
As a keyboard player he has worked on the national tour
of BLOOD BROTHERS and is currently touring the UK
with MAD ABOUT THE MUSICALS. He has appeared as
an actor / musician in the MEDIEVAL BANQUETS at
Coombe Abbey in Coventry and regularly performs at Soprano’s
Piano Bar in High Street Kensington.
Tom also works as a singing teacher and repertoire coach,
teaching regularly at Millennium Dance in London. As a children’s
MD and singing teacher he has worked on productions of OILVER!, FAME, THE
WIZ, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, BIGSY MALONE and LES
MISERABLES. Most recently he musically directed the
UK youth premiere of THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE at
the Shaw Theatre in London and a summer school production
of THE WIZ, featuring Brian Blessed, at the Assembly
Halls, Tunbridge Wells.
