Profiles - Ben Poole

Ben is looking forward to playing the Marina Theatre again, having previously appeared here as a singer on tour with David Essex. He has enjoyed a career as a recording artist with Polydor Records, a singer and actor, in no particular order of preference! His most recent roles have included playing ‘Dr. Jekyll’ and ‘Mr. Hyde’, in the musical of the same name at Lincoln Theatre Royal, his favourite role to date. ‘John Wesley’ in the world premiere of Roy Clarke's WESLEY. 'The Devil' in THE MYSTERY PLAYS, a part he has played since 1988! ‘Oberon’ in 'A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM and ‘The Ghost/Player King/Gravedigger’ in HAMLET on a national repertory tour. In between he has played at almost every concert and classical venue in the country, including the three appearances at the Royal Albert Hall, with his brothers in their group "The Ruin Brothers'. This has included a number of national tours with artists such as the Everly Brothers, David Essex and classical group 'Bond'.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL is one of Ben's favourite stories and is normally essential viewing in the run up to Christmas. He will take the opportunity this week to enjoy the Christmas Spirit in Lowestoft!
